IoT & Smart Manufacturing Engineer (m/w/d)
Our recently created “Manufacturing Engineering” department is looking for a digital-savvy IoT expert with strong implementation skills for the development, implementation and constant further development of our IoT and smart manufacturing strategy, in addition to the topic of “operational process optimization in series production”.
Your Profile

Degree: in the fields of engineering, information technology, automation technology, industrial engineering or similar

Professional experience: experience in the implementation of IoT technologies, automation solutions or smart manufacturing in the production environment

Technical expertise: in-depth knowledge of IoT technologies, sensor technology, communication protocols and Industry 4.0

Data analysis: experience in dealing with large amounts of data, data analysis tools and ideally in the field of predictive maintenance and machine learning

Project management: Experience in managing and coordinating complex projects in the field of digital transformation

Strong communication skills: ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and explain complex topics in an understandable way

Problem-solving skills: analytical thinking and a high degree of initiative to develop innovative solutions for our production processes

Personal: you are passionate about optimizing and digitizing processes
Scope of tasks

Development of an IoT strategy: Development and definition of a comprehensive IoT and smart production strategy in collaboration with the COO and relevant interfaces
- Project management: Responsibility for the conception, planning and implementation of IoT projects in the production environment
- Technology selection and integration: identifying and selecting suitable IoT solutions, sensors and software to enable connected and intelligent production

Data management: setting up and optimizing systems for data collection, analysis and use in order to optimize production processes (e.g. through predictive maintenance)

Collaboration: Close collaboration with the IT team, production and external technology partners to ensure smooth integration of IoT solutions

Optimization of production processes: Analyzing and improving the efficiency, quality and flexibility of production processes through the use of smart technologies (lean management)

Change management: support for cultural change towards a digitalized and data-driven production environment, including employee training and change management processes
